Description du projet

This transverse project tackles the petrophysical characterization of serpentinites, especially to discriminate the transition from the low-pressure lizardite/chrysotile assemblage to the high-pressure antigorite, which is the topics of the PhD of Heming Wang, tutored by Mai-Linh Doan (Fault mechanics team), with the participation of Stéphane Schwartz and Anne-Line Auzende (Mineralogy team).
The members of the Mineralogy team provide relevant samples with increasing antigorite content. The members of the Fault mechanics team will focus on the microstructural characterization and in the measurements of seismic velocities. Vp and Vs will be measured at ambient pressure at ISTerre (collaboration with Philippe Roux), and under high confinement in the cells at ENS Paris (collaboration with Jérôme Fortin).
