Synthetic Minerals Catalog

From 2006 to present, several methods to produce mineral and mineral composites under mild and hydrothermal conditions, including the synthesis of nonoparticles, mesocrystals and nanostructured materials were developped at ISTerre (in-house methods). At the present time, the synthesis of more of 40 mineral and crystal phases are handled. In addition to fundamental research on their nucléation processes monitored in real-time, with relevance on the natural and engineered systems. Several of these crystalline phases could offer interesting applications as adsorbents, catalysts (photo-), mineral additives, excipients, permanent storage of carbon dioxide, etc.. In this way, my expertise (supported by about 30% of my research (30 scientific publications and 5 patents)) is open for R&D collaborations with academic and industrial sectors.
