URBASIS Winter School - Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology

In the framework of the European ITN URBASIS-EU project, we are organizing a winter university on seismic risk in urban environments from January 24 to January 29, 2022, in Autrans (30 minutes from Grenoble, France), in the French Alpine Space.

Objectives

The objective of this winter university is to provide students (PhD, post-doc and others) with an insight into research issues in seismology and engineering seismology in the broadest sense, and current and emerging research topics on seismic risk in interaction with the components that make up urban environments. Among these topics, we find the prediction of seismic ground motion and site effects, the emerging risk associated with induced seismicity, risk characterization and losses prediction, wave propagation in complex urban environments, etc...

Programme

The school program of each day will include lectures and keynotes given by the invited speakers and lecturers.

The spirit of this winter university is also to gather young scientits and senior scientits in an friendly environment. Time slots will be scheduled to create an effective friendly interaction between speakers and students.
Participants are encouraged to present a poster
