Project description
This project is part of the ITN Improve programme, which aims to gain a better understanding of the geothermal reservoirs associated with volcanic edifices. This multi-team project is based on the acquisition and processing of multiphysical data (seismic and electrical networks, magnetotelluric acquisition) for the purposes of multiphysical imaging and temporal monitoring of seismic and electromagnetic events that are natural and/or forced by the injection of conductive fluids into the Krafla volcano (Iceland). The measurement campaign, which will be carried out in close collaboration with SIG (coordinator L. Métral), will run for one month, from mid-June to mid-July 2022. This funding application is intended to supplement the resources required for this ambitious acquisition campaign.
