Upgrade of the imaging system associated with the polarizing microscope
– Project title: Replacement of the imaging system associated with the polarizing microscope
– Project leader(s): AUZENDE Anne-Line
– Team(s) involved: Mineralogy - Tectonics, Reliefs & Basins - Seismic cycle and transient deformations - Geochemistry - Fault mechanics
– Amount: 7821 euros
**Description of the project
"The project is to upgrade the image acquisition system associated with the petrographic microscope in free access in the ISTerre microscopy room as well as a maintenance visit by a professional. Indeed, the current system no longer allows a simple and friendly use of the polarizing microscope by our students and researchers. However, in order for the rate of use of this common tool to remain as high as it is today, it must be easy to use and properly maintained".
