Work context

Three closely related national and European research infrastructures in the field of Earth Sciences are coordinated from Grenoble and each needs support from the management for administrative and financial aspects and for communication activities. The Project Manager works under the functional responsibility of the Director of Résif-Epos, the Director of ForM@Ter and the Scientific Director of Epos-France. The structure is the OSUG (Observatoire des Sciences de l’Univers de Grenoble) and the workstation will be at the ISTerre laboratory in Grenoble, attached to the OSUG, a common work place between the scientific leaders.
Résif-Epos (www.resif.fr) is a national research infrastructure. Its goal is to develop a geophysical antenna for the study and observation of the subsurface, in particular for the characterization and monitoring of the seismic hazard in France. Résif-Epos is governed by the Résif Consortium (18 partners), and coordinated by INSU.
ForM@Ter (www.poleterresolide.fr) is the data and services cluster dedicated to the solid Earth within the Data Terra Research Infrastructure. Its goal is to facilitate access to data related to the Solid Earth domain, to provide services and efficient tools to access, process and analyze these data and to generate value-added products. ForM@Ter has 13 trustees.
Epos (European Plate Observing System) is a European research infrastructure in the field of observation and understanding of the Earth and associated natural hazards. 14 countries, including France, are currently members of Epos. The French solid Earth scientific community contributes to many Epos services; this activity is coordinated by Epos-France (www.epos-france.fr).

The work will be carried out in collaboration with the national and international partners of Résif-Epos, ForM@Ter and Epos-France, and in direct link with the Scientific Partnerships Department of the National Institute for the Sciences of the Universe (INSU) of the CNRS. Occasional travel in France and abroad will be required for regular meetings related to the activities of the three structures.

The Observatoire des Sciences de l’Univers de Grenoble is a federative structure providing observation, research, training and knowledge dissemination missions. Placed under the supervision of the CNRS/INSU, the IRD, the Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), the OSUG federation currently brings together more than 1200 members, within 8 units, 5 research teams and 2 support and research units.

The Institute of Earth Sciences (ISTerre) is one of the 8 laboratories of the Observatoire des Sciences de l’Univers de Grenoble and develops its activities in geophysics, geology and geochemistry.

Constraints and risks

Travel in France and in Europe to be expected.
